You can find out how this Buddy The Elf Pasta was by watching me make and eat it in this video from my YouTube channel below, or scroll a little further for the full recipe!Īs stated in the video, I tried my best to get similar ingredients, but living in North East Scotland, its not always easy to find American foods at short notice. So guess what? Of course I had to try it. The scene is iconic, and having watched the movie EVERY Christmas Eve since 2003, it just rings of Christmas to me. He mixes it with his hands before devouring it happily. Lo and behold, Buddy concocts a dish made of spaghetti, maple syrup, chocolate syrup, M&Ms, marshmallows and a chocolate fudge Pop Tart. Once they set off for work and school, Buddy sits down to his own version of the breakfast spaghetti, adding another of the elves’ four main food groups: candy. The following morning, Buddy whips up a batch of spaghetti for his new family for breakfast, adding an Elf twist: maple syrup. ![]() After he first sits down to a meal with his new human family, in which they ate spaghetti, he gathers that ALL humans must eat spaghetti ALL the time! Buddy makes his way to New York to meet his real father, and once living with him, tries his best to adapt to human customs, but doesn’t quite grasp them all that well. ![]() As he grows up, Buddy finds out that he is far too big to be an elf, and Santa informs him of his true identity. (SPOILER ALERT)īuddy the Elf (played by Will Ferrell) is a human orphan, who accidentally finds his way to the North Pole as a baby, and is subsequently raised by an aging elf. If you’ve seen the movie, you’ll know exactly the scene I’m talking about. In honour of my favourite Christmas movie, Elf, I made Buddy’s sweet breakfast pasta.
